Rock-Solid but Soggy 2010 Agate Stampede

As if on cue, the rain started falling right at 2 in the afternoon on Saturday-right about the time the canon went off to signal the beginning of the 41st annual Agate Days Stampede in Moose Lake.  The wet weather did not seem to deter the thousands of folks who participated in the agate and quarter search on Elm Street in downtown Moose Lake.  Stampede officials were pleased with the crowd who they described as courteous and well behaved with absolutely no one jumping the yellow ropes to gain advantage.

Lots of other events shaped the Agate Days weekend to include the Arts in the park, the Gem and Mineral show at Moose Lake School, the Steak Fry at the fire hall and the car show at Moose Lake City Park.
